Wordfirm Inc. "opened its doors" in 1996 as Editorial Services Online—one of the Internet's first businesses. Many have come and gone since then, but by refining its business model as conditions changed and always focusing on providing value to clients, Wordfirm has survived and flourished.

Wordfirm has evolved into a producer of quality books. The company still functions largely online, operating as a virtual office, with all team members working from home. This setup lets Wordfirm operate with high efficiency and hire talented book specialists across the country.

Dale Adams founded the company and serves as project manager. He has worked with publications for over 30 years, participating in all stages of publishing, including writing (two published books), substantive editing and copyediting, graphic design, publication production, and publication management.

Before starting Wordfirm, Adams worked for 10 years for various nonprofit associations in the Washington, D.C., area. In those jobs, he served as senior editor, books editor, production editor, managing editor, and editor-in-chief.
